H.E.R.O. by BOVI

Human Enabled
Remote Operation

Reliable teleoperation - built on connectivity that survives difficult environments

Bolt-on remote operation for existing heavy equipment and offroad vehicles. Hire operators from anywhere - or we staff the station.

Remote-operated vehicle in a difficult field environment

Connectivity first. Then H.E.R.O.

Standard teleop fails when the network fails. Real offroad, industrial, and hazardous environments bring dropped links, high jitter, multipath interference, and blackouts.

We build the connectivity that holds up in the field - including military-grade local radios for short-range, high-reliability links, bonded with cellular and satellite when needed - then H.E.R.O. delivers reliable remote operation on top of it. Bolt-on capable. Built for existing fleets and new platforms.

First unit is a paid integration on one named model. Applied first in vegetation management and hazardous operations.

One integration. Then many machines.

Paid initial integration on one model. After it is proven, we scale onto more machines you already own.

01

Scope the first unit

Model, site, coverage, who operates. This is the platform you will repeat across the fleet.

Audit

02

Integrate

Bolt-on kits on that first machine. That work becomes the pattern for the rest.

Architecture

03

Validate

Prove the system on unit one: spotter rules, link-loss stop, agreed tasks.

Field validation

04

Scale the fleet

Link + Ops stays up. Additional units of the same model reuse the integration - one to many on machines you already own.

Deployment

How H.E.R.O. works

Three bolt-on kits. Installed on the machines you already run - so they can be linked, seen, and driven remotely.

Bolt-on architecture

Kit 01

Connectivity

The link. Gives the machine field-ready connectivity so command and video survive difficult environments.

Kit 02

Sense

The eyes. Environmental awareness and vision so the machine can be teleoperated.

Kit 03

Control

Low-level drive-by-wire with an embedded safety layer that actually drives the machine.

Existing heavy equipment platform

Installs onto

Existing heavy equipment

Skid steers, mulchers, tractors, loaders, and other platforms already in service - without redesigning the machine.

Connectivity

Military-grade local radios for short-range, high-reliability field links

Multi-path bonding (local radio + cellular + satellite + private LTE)

Architecture for high packet loss, jitter, and intermittent coverage

Ruggedized edge hardware, antennas, and enclosures

Sense

Cameras and sensors for operator vision at the machine

Environmental awareness for teleoperation in the field

Perception so the operator can supervise the platform in the field

Operator interfaces for offroad situational awareness

Control

Low-level drive-by-wire for existing vehicle systems

Embedded safety layer on the machine, not only at the operator station

Fail-safes and link-loss stop when communications degrade

Integration with hydraulics, ECUs, ROS / ROS2, and proprietary stacks

Built for difficult environments

Where standard teleoperation and single-path connectivity break down.

Performance

Control that holds up

Military-grade local radios and multi-path connectivity engineered for intermittent coverage, high latency variance, multipath interference, and the realities of offroad and industrial sites.

Command

Flexible operator stations

Deploy from ruggedized Pelican-case control kits, browser-based workstations, or custom trailer command centers - operator interfaces sized for field, range, and expeditionary use.

Case study

In Partnership with NDeavor

  • Full remote operation across 22-square-mile zones
  • 30-40 mph over rough terrain, matching or exceeding manned crews
  • Reliable performance in low-light and thermal conditions
  • BOVI in use for this application - video timestamp ~1:36

Case study

In Agriculture

  • Bolt-on kits supporting remote mowing and spraying in challenging fields
  • Performance that can match manned crews while reducing operator risk
  • Continuous operations across varying conditions

What to expect

  • We reply within 1-2 business days
  • First call is technical scoping
  • We'll ask about the machine, the site, and who operates. Hire from anywhere, or we can staff remote operators.
